About the event

An Into Opera Primary Arts Network Social

Tickets for teachers have been generously subsidised by the Norwich Freemen’s Charity

18:00 Registration and Networking

19:00 Britten In America Show length 2 hours with interval

Join teachers from across Norfolk along with Genevieve from Into Opera, for an exciting evening at the Norfolk & Norwich Festival to experience Britten In America, a performance from Britten Sinfonia.

It’s also a relaxed opportunity to meet other teachers who are passionate about helping the arts thrive in their schools, share ideas, and build connections across the Primary Arts Network. It's 50 years since Britten’s death and Britten Sinfonia are presenting a programme that focuses on the years he spent in North America during WW2. Sensuous music with a bright sheen written in Canada and the USA is paired with music by his ‘very dear friend’ and mentor, Aaron Copland, from the same decade.
