PRIMARY ARTS NETWORK COORDINATOR
Into Opera is setting up a Primary Arts Network based in Norwich to support how children access the arts across primary schools in Norfolk.
​
The aim of this network is to inspire ambition for the arts in primary schools. This network will evolve according to need, bringing teachers together across schools in Norfolk. It will create robust and meaningful connections between schools where Into Opera will support them to share resources, learning, funding, CPD workshops and to conjure imaginative ideas collaboratively for projects which will offer high-quality cultural opportunities for their pupils.

The Network Coordinator will be pivotal in ensuring the smooth running of this network, growing the participant base, maintaining momentum and strengthening communication between schools. This role will become the main point of contact for schools and the individual appointed with require excellent administration, digital and communication skills.
​
We are looking for someone who will become a real asset to the Into Opera team who can be both a kind and supportive presence for teachers as well as bringing real organisation, forward thinking and positivity to the Network.

MUSICIAN IN RESIDENCE
Into Opera is delighted to launch a new Musician in Residence scheme for three primary schools near Norwich.
​
This is an opportunity for passionate, freelance musicians to share their skills and expertise with the next generation and to support Into Opera in championing the importance of the arts in primary schools.
​
We are looking for individuals with experience:

Working in education and community environments
-
Leading choirs
-
Selecting repertoire for different age groups
-
Devising primary-level music composition opportunities
-
Running 1-1 instrumental and/or voice lessons
-
Developing exciting ideas to inspire communities about music making
​
We look forward to hearing from artists with different expertise, and we are open to being inspired about the different music possibilities that they could bring to these schools. We are happy to appoint three musicians (one per school) or to appoint one or two people to work across the three schools. We will be as flexible as possible to try and work around work complements and fits work-life as a professional musician and educationalist is something we will be interested to explore at interview.

In Return
​
A competitive hourly/day rate, dependent on experience
​
For anyone based over 25 miles away from the schools, travel expenses will be supported.
​
Budget will be available to support the Musician(s) in Residence to occasionally bringing in guest artists, to purchase tickets for school trips and live events which complement their work, to purchase instruments for the schools in addition to any resources / teaching materials.
