Experience fresh, imaginative interpretations of beloved opera arias and musical theatre classics from emerging artists aged 16-21 at the start of their creative journey.

The Pathways Programme:
Step into a world of expressive storytelling, powerful music, and creative exploration with Into Opera — a transformative 4-day residency in Norwich designed for young performers aged 16 – 21.
Whether you’re a singer, instrumentalist, or simply curious about the world of opera, musical theatre, operetta, and art song, this programme invites you to:

Explore repertoire across genres - from dramatic arias to golden-age musicals.

Interpret character and emotion through your voice or instrument

Work closely with stage director Genevieve Raghu and pianist and vocal coach Libby Burgess, in inspiring, supportive coaching sessions

Develop performance skills, musical understanding, and artistic confidence

Collaborate, create, and connect with like-minded young musicians

Devise a short concert programme and perform to a public audience
Location: Norwich Chapel
Duration: 4 days (27 - 30 August)
Open to singers AND instrumentalists
No prior operatic experience required, just experience as a musician, along with curiosity and commitment.
Please note, you will need to organise your own travel and accommodation.
This is a space to experiment, grow, and develop your musical voice.
