Opera Unwrapped
Gala Concert
9 August 2019
The Octagon Barn
An evening of opera... unwrapped. This unique Festival Gala Concert with music by Verdi, Mozart, Puccini and Gershwin offers audiences the chance to find out what got our singers 'into' opera.
Opera Unwrapped is a classical concert series curated by Into Opera in which singers perform and ‘unwrap’ operatic repertoire for audiences – providing comic anecdotes about the music and personal stories, truly bringing the art form to life.

This Festival Gala Concert will be headlined by the renowned lyric tenor, Christopher Turner who recently toured the UK in English Touring Opera's 'Idomeneo'. He will be joined by the American soprano, Sofia Troncoso and no less than five further remarkable soloists from the 'The Elixir of Love' Company.

A complimentary glass of champagne will be offered to all guests on arrival and a bar will be open all evening, serving champagne, wine, beer and soft drinks. A raffle will also be held at the event to raise money for the Norfolk Into Opera Festival 2020.
Opera Unwrapped concerts took place in 2017 and 2018. Both events quickly sold out. These videos offer a taster of what it was like to be in the audience...
